How this works

  • Each check looks for one thing a recruiter notices in the first read: how to reach you, proof in numbers, verbs, filler phrases, sections, length, links, dates, voice and line length.
  • Checks are weighted. Missing contact details and bullets with no numbers cost the most, because a recruiter notices them first.
  • The checker reads text only. It cannot see layout, fonts or columns, so a high score does not mean the PDF looks good.
